Our border crossing into Gambia again didn\u2019t go as planned (what is it with West Africa!!!) We spent 2 hours trying to convince the officials that the boys all South African, were upstanding gentlemen. South Africa is on their list of I won\u2019t say undesirables but not entirely welcome! Even though we had obtained visas in advance they still wanted clearance letters<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> for each of them (the first we heard of it). Unfortunately, we hit the rainy season\u2026 the rain only let up for short periods, I didn\u2019t know you could have that much rain in one day!!! The roads in places would flood, and create huge rivers running down the streets. Now the budgets are hectic, I am working with about 30 different currencies and many more exchange rates (fried brain is an understatement!!!). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">I did join the boys one day, for a trip out of town to see an art project started by an English guy, to help raise money for the communities. He invited famous artists from around the world to come and paint pictures on the walls of the village houses and buildings, some of them were really incredible. It really is a great initiative, it also gives you the opportunity to drive through the centre of the small villages, everyone is generally happy to see you\u2026 In some other countries, you feel a bit awkward driving through the villages and are not always welcome with a camera which was understandable ( I would also tell people to get lost\u2026). <\/span><\/p>\n<div id='gallery-2' a very wet customer function, the heavens were open for most of the day, luckily, the kids were happy to play in the rain, then it miraculously stopped for the customer activities and we had a great
